Rajouri, Apr 17: Rajouri Administration today heaved a sigh of relief, when three positive cases of COVID-19 were turned out negative in tests. All these cases were reported from Manjakote Tehsil, who had been quarantined after they were found positive of COVID-19. Pertinently, fives villages of Manjakote tehsil were declared red zones after these three cases were reported while 25 villages were kept on buffer zones. After which the entire villages were sealed and movement of any person was restricted to these areas. They further said that despite this success against COVID-19, no laxity has been made by administration. “One of these three persons was recovered from virus earlier and today left two were declared free from COVID-19,” said Dr Javed Choudhary, who is the Nodal Officer of COVID 19 and Deputy Superintendent GMC Rajouri. DDC Rajouri Mohammad Sheikh Nazir, when contacted, said that although it is very good news for all of them but restrictions will remain continue as precautionary measures in these as well as other areas. Meanwhile, SSP Rajouri Chandan Kohli said deployment of police and nakas will remain intact and he appealed to the people to stay at home.
