Early Times Report Udhampur, Apr 17: Senior Citizen’s Club Udhampur, in appreciation of the services of the sanitation workers (Safai Karamcharis), during present impasse of corona, organized a function in their honor today. President of the club Mahadeep Singh Jamwal, Gen Secretary Raj Guru, SK Gandotra advisor, Mohan Singh Treasurer and Mohinder Kumar Hira member managed the ceremony. Talking to the media, the club’s President Mahadeep Singh Jamwal said that when we talk about the terrible transition of Corona, we also need to consider the front line warriors today associated with corona war to protect society and every person from this transition. These people working to safeguard our health, without caring about them self, their family and without any temptation. Our district administration, police force, health workers, uniformed forces, persons responsible for maintaining the supply of essential commodities, besides volunteers, if there is a section connected with the responsibility of keeping our area neat and clean and to minimize the infection, these are our ‘Safai Karamcharis’. Jamwal said that recognizing their selfless services, Senior Citizen Club Udhampur has decided to honor this class. Keeping in view the circumstances and restrictions, some people of the class of sweepers honored today by floral showers and ‘Mudra Malas’. Jamwal said that the Senior Citizen Club is moving forward with a pledge to honor all the Corona warriors of Udhampur city, who are the real heroes of society and humanity and will continue to honor this class in the coming times. On this occasion, Jamwal also appreciated the retired doctors who are providing free services and advice over the telephone. |
