| ATMs, deposit machines of JK Bank remain out of service in Udhampur | | |  Ashwani Sharma

Udhampur, Jun 14: The users of Automatic Tellers Machine (ATM) of J&K Bank were left in tizzy after most of the machines in the town displayed—‘sorry I am being processed’ message on the screen .
“I have travelled three kilometers to reach the town to withdraw money but when the ATM displayed message that sorry I am being processed, I am feeling that my time has been wasted,” Akhil—a student from Jakhani village near Udhampur town said before moving to another ATM in the town.
Similar was the response of other ATM users wherein few informed that this mostly happens on days of some holidays. Kuldeep Singh—a shopkeeper who had visited depositing machine of J&K Bank too had a bad story to tell. “I visited the depositing machine to deposit some cash of my last day sale at Gole market Udhampur but the ATM guard said that it is showing full in capacity. It is not for the first time, mostly this continues happens on holidays,” he informed
People have urged the higher authorities of J&K Bank to facilitate proper functioning of these machines meant for public convenience. “The Bank should strengthen its customer care section and instruct it to look into the issues of ATMs and deposit machines,” a retired employee said. |
