MALIK MUDASIR Early Times Report
BANIHAL, June 14: Demanding construction of a bridge across Paristan Nallah, the people of Bingara village in district Ramban said that it is a decade old demand of the local inhabitants of the area. The locals said that the construction of bridge is the only way to shorten the connectivity to the five panchayats of Alinbass A, Alinbass B, Hochack, Pingloga and Panchal A which in turn will provide much needed relief to the area having population of more than four thousand souls. Speaking to Early Times, people said that they have made wooden bridge across the nallah on their own, but crossing the bridge becomes dangerous during heavy rains. They said that they visited the concerned department several times but unfortunately all the officials at the helm of the affairs ignored them. People are now pinning hope on the Lieutenant Governor to sanction a steel bridge as soon as possible so that people can breathe a sigh of relief. “We are waiting for decades for the construction of bridge. We are now hopeful that Lieutenant Governor will not disappoint us,” said the villagers.
