Jammu, June 28: Young Panthers activists on Sunday hold a protest demonstration against the continuous daily hike in the petrol and diesel prices. Activists of YP raised slogans against the Modi government and has also burnt the effigy of Centerl government. The protest was organised by Bhanu Partap Singh Goria (President Jammu West YP) in the pressence of Partap Singh Jamwal (Sr. YP Leader, JKNPP).
Addressing the media persons, Partap Singh Jamwal said that Protest against the unmindful, insensitive and unprecedented hike in the prices of petrol and diesel will be massive and will underline the government’s extortionist looting of the common man during the coronavirus crisis.
Partap Singh further said that YP will highlight the heavy burden imposed upon the common people by the “anti-people policies of the Central government. On the occasion Bhanu Partap Singh Goria said that as per present crude oil prices, diesel and petrol costs should also be lowered proportionately. He said it is important that prices are reduced because economic activity is at its lowest and people are sitting at home without any work. Bhanu said that in such a scenario, the government should not aim to earn profit from people who are already facing the brunt of the economic downturn owing to Covid-19.
