| Man succumbs to assault injuries | | Kins hold strong protest in Kathua | |

KATHUA, July 14 – The kins and relatives of deceased Romesh Kumar of village Doulian Jatta falling under the jurisdiction of Rajbagh police station holds massive demonstration in the premises of Government Medical College Kathua. The deceased had received injuries in a assault case over land dispute on 4 th of July.late last night he succumbs to his injuries in DMC Ludhiana.
The Protestors alleged that Rajbagh police did not arrested the 6 accused who had assaulted Romesh Kumar. They labeled serious allegations on SHO Rajbagh for taking money from the attackers. The protestors demanded immediate arrest of all the accused who were involved in the assault.
Additional Superintendent of police Ramneesh Gupta along with Dysp K.D Bhagat and Dysp Headquarter Majid Mehboob reached on the spot and pacified the protestors.
“The Rajbagh police registered a case under section 307 immediately after the Romesh Kumar was assaulted on 4th of July. Today after the Romesh Kumar succumbs to his injuries, section 302 added in the FIR” ASP Ramneesh Gupta said. Four accused have been arrested and two others who are still at large would be arrested soon, he added.
