30 fresh positive 1118 active positive cases, 66 recovered and 52 deaths till date in north Kashmir | DM Kupwara extends restrictions under Sec 144 CrPc with certain relaxations | | S Tahir-ul Haq Early Times Report KUPWARA, July 14: Out of 346 positive cases, thirty fresh positive cases were reported today, there are 1118 active positive cases, cumulative cases crossed over 2543, while 52 deaths have occurred so far in north Kashmir as on date. According to the district wise positive cases that are available as on July 14, 2020 (Tuesday), In Baramulla district, 11 fresh positive cases that were reported today, there has been an increase in the cumulative cases that have gone up to 1337, and there is a decline in the active positive cases that stands at 727, and cumulative recovered cases are 572 including 27 as on date, while as 38 deaths, next highest after Srinagar that have occurred so far in this district. In Kupwara district, 03 fresh positive cases were reported today, while there is an increase in cumulative cases that have gone up to 805 cases, there is a decline in the aactive positive cases that stands at 288, cumulative recovered are 506 including 33 and 11 deaths have occurred so far. In Bandipora district, 16 fresh positive cases reported today, whereas 401 are cumulative cases, 103 are active positive, 295 are cumulative recovered including 06, and 03 deaths have occurred so far. Meanwhile, with an aim to control the spread of COVID-19 infection, District Magistrate Kupwara Anshul Garg today extended the already imposed restrictions under section 144 CrPC and section 34 of Disaster Management Act across the district till July 25 or unless modified earlier. As per an official communiqué, all shops dealing with dairy products and vegetables shall be allowed to operate from Monday to Friday from 7 am to 1 pm. The concerned shop owners are directed to ensure prominent display of Covid-19regulations especially usage of masks outside their shops and ensure that the customers adhere to social distancing within the premises. There shall be no restriction on opening of medical shops or private health institutions anywhere in the district as per the order. The order further reads that there shall be complete restrictions on movement of public transport including Sumos and Xylos throughout the district. Movement of private transport shall be governed by Government Order under which only two passengers, besides, drivers shall be allowed in four wheeler vehicles. There shall be no restrictions on movement of vehicles carrying construction and other material for developmental works. As per the official communication all government offices shall continue to function normally with 100% attendance. Lead District Manager has been directed to issue guidelines and formulate roasters for bank branches to ensure no overcrowding in bank premises besides all Managers shall ensure adherence to social distancing and usage of masks in bank premises and may refuse services to any customer not following these guidelines. The order further reads that concerned ADCs/SDMs shall issue deployment orders of Magistrates to check observance of guidelines and penalise violators in their respective jurisdictions.
