| SDPO Akhnoor convenes meeting with traders to discuss weekend lockdown | | |  Early Times Report
AKHNOOR, July 21: SDPO Akhnoor along with SHO Akhnoor convened a meeting with local shopkeepers to discuss the modalities of the upcoming weekend lockdown to be commenced from July 24.
The meeting was organized at Radhey Chowk while maintaining social distance. SDPO Akhnoor Ajay Sharma and SHO Akhnoor Pardeep Sharma briefed the shopkeepers about the government directions to ensure proper lock down from following Friday from 6 pm till Monday morning. Moreover, all present were briefed not to allow any one for shopping without mask, at no given time more than 3 persons allowed inside a shop including shopkeeper that too maintaining social distance, every shopkeeper to paste a notice to this effect at the entrance of each shop. Any violation will attract legal action including FIR against the shop owner and fine too. Also they were explained about the SRO 230 dated 20th July, 2020 which reads the quantum of fine for violation of social distancing, not wearing mask etc.
It was stressed that Akhnoor town till date is Corona free with the cooperation of everyone including shopkeepers and with the help of local administration and police. Locals appreciated the efforts and lead role of Police and promised full cooperation to keep Akhnoor town free of COVID 19. They all extended full support to Akhnoor police in fight against Corona and keeping the town Corona free.
