| Taking law into hand, local blocks road, seeks compensation after 15 years of earth works | | |  Rajesh Tandon

Poonch, Aug 28: A link road which connects five villages of Kulani, Kehni, Fatehpur, Seri Chouhana to main headquarter of Sathra and Mandi blocks and district headquarter Poonch at Timbra has been blocked by a local near his home at Timbra due to which general public is suffering.
It is pertinent to mention here that this link road was constructed in 2004-2005 and recently blacktop was completed, A local Akhter Hussain while taking law into hand due to unknown reasons blocked the said road and put public in huge trouble. The man has createds huge sufferings for general public of the area to reach their destination after travelling a long journey of about 14-15 kilometers.
The locals approached the concerned administration for restoration of the said link road but administration failed to restore this road at all. When contacted Akhter said, “Administration has neither given the land compensation to him nor protected house which has been in dangerous due to recently heavy rain”.
Where was Akhter for last 15 years? locals questioned and have appealed to Lieutenant Governor to intervene in this matter and take a stern action against such type of dictators.
