JAMMU, Dec 25: The "true meaning of Christmas is "to give up one's very self - to think only of others - how to bring the greatest happiness to others" - that is the true meaning of Christmas. On this belief a non-government organisation (NGO) named 'People's Hut Foundation' celebrated Christmas with underprivileged children and Senior citizens living in old age homes in Jammu. Dr. Rohit Koul, Director and CEO of the organisation said we believe that every child deserves to have a merry childhood that is full of happiness, joy, and love. With these initiatives we can bring contentment and jubilation in the lives of children who wait for Santa Claus to perform a miracle every Christmas and he would also distribute gifts among them. Keeping this in mind, members of the organisation distributed chocolates, stationary items, and gifts among them. In the foundation's initiative" Happy Christmas Sab Kay Liye", New Blankets were also distributed at Old Age Home in Jammu as we believe we do have responsibility for our senior citizens too.
Speaking about the initiative, Vikas Pandita, ?Director and COO, PHF said "It is the season of celebrations and what better way to spread warmth and cheer, than to bring smiles on the faces of children. We are excited and thankful to all our donors for helping us ring in Christmas and New Year in a very special and meaningful way." |
