JAMMU, Jan 27: Shiv Sena’s signature campaign to press for the demands of restoration of Statehood to the union territory, and keeping the jobs exclusive to the residents of Jammu and Kashmir is getting huge response from public, with over two lakhs people signing in the first phase of the campaign.At an event held at the party's state office today, State President Manish Sahni said that , restoration of the statehood and the first right to the people of J&K over the jobs is getting tremendous support from the people. “Over two lakh signatures of people from Jammu, Samba, Udhampur, Reasi, R S Pura and Bari Brahmana areas, inscribed on fifty meters of cloth have reached Shiv Sena office. This will soon be given to LG Manoj Sinha,” he said. Sahni informed that Shiv Sena has fixed a target of 10 lakh signatures in the union territory.“We will achieve our target in a short while which is estimated to be inscribed on a cloth measuring two kilometres in length. Sahni said that the people of Kashmir Valley are also very excited about their support for this campaign and are inviting them to come to Kashmir. “I will leave for Kashmir with my team in the first week of February,” he said. “After the completion of the campaign, the signatures and a representation will be handed over to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to further assert our genuine demands,” he informed. On this occasion Meenakshi Chhibber president Mahila wing, Rakesh Gupta Charman,Vikas Bakshi & G I Singh Gen Secretary, Ashwani Gupta, working president Sanjeev Kohli and several other activists were also present. |
