1/27/2021 11:22:38 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT

Jammu , Jan 27: Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta today said that sooner than later the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir will become land of fulfilling the aspirations of people, making them prosperous like never before.
In a statement issued here, the senior BJP functionary while citing the Republic Day address of Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, said that BJP Government at the Centre has special affinity towards the UT of J&K and therefore it is taking extraordinary initiatives in realizing its dream of restoring the pristine glory of this region famous for people living a contented life guided by saints and sages with no room for death and destruction. He said that soon after Prime Minister Narendra Modi took over the reign of the country in 2014, efforts were made to replace turmoil and tumultuous times into an era of development in J&K and people centric endeavours in numbers have seen the day of light with gunfights and conflicts taking a back seat.
“The herculean task taken up by our valiant security forces to handle terror threats from across the border and inside also has started bringing desired change and peace & progress are now in vogue in J&K”, he said, adding that lately the momentum which the ongoing developmental process has attained is unprecedented and this in itself is a unique sight, if we compare it with time when BJP was not in power.
“Surely, J&K is treading in the right direction with incumbents in the BJP government having right perspective for the future of the people living in this land created by Maharishi Kashyap”, he said adding that change in the air being felt in J&K is apparently for opportunities and good fortune and all stakeholders including residents of UT will have to play their significant role in restoring peace and prosperity.
“The BJP has taken exceptionally good steps which have helped in satiating the demands of people, who were lurching to even get basic amenities under successive governments manned by Congress, NC or PDP leadership, which for years proved to be good for nothing and bad for all,” he said.
Kavinder named the historic initiatives taken in recent past by the BJP Government including abrogation of Articles 370 and 35A, launch of public welfare schemes including health insurance , AIIMS, IIT, IIM, etc, which in the coming times will prove to be the game changers for the people of the region.
Claiming that people’s wholehearted support to BJP is the real morale booster for the party, the senior BJP leader anticipated that continued support to BJP will help its leadership to take momentous steps in transforming atmosphere in J&K and bring back delight in the life of J&K residents.
