TFJ for strict punitive action against Red fort rioteers | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Jan 27: The Tourism Federation of Jammu (TFJ) met under the chairmanship of Sh. Rajesh Gupta today afternoon, and condemned in the harshest of words the anarchic actions of “protestors” during the 26th January tractor rally at Delhi, organized by Farmer lobbies. The actions of the protesters at Red Fort and their violent behavior has exposed that present agitation is being steered by anti national forces and farmers are being used as tools by such elements. Executive Committee of Tourism Federation expressed its solidarity with nation and stands pained for the disrespect shown towards national flag on Republic Day. However, the restraint shown by the Police & administering authorities in handling the volatile situation shows the firm resolve of the government towards a peaceful solution of every internal misconception and is commendable. Federation office bearers expressed their sympathy with Delhi Police personnel injured during attacks by protesters who tress-passed in Delhi. Tourism Federation executive stands firmly behind the government and is for taking stern action against yesterday's violence , rioting and also for damaging public property in Delhi besides hurting of sentiments of every nationalist citizen on the Republic Day. TFJ requests the government to enforce strict penalties on these organizations and their key leaders. The meeting was attended by prominent citizens among the executive members of the Federation including Sh. Amreek Singh, Ashish Gupta, Raman Suri, Gaurav Mahajan, Tapan Dubey, B.B.Kotwal, Ajay Gupta & Kuldip Luthra amongst others. |
