Jammu, Jan 3: Alleging corruption in recruitment for the post of constable conducted by Border Security Force (BSF), the aspirants today held a protest and threatened to launch an agitation if their demands are not met. Hundreds of youths who were eagerly waiting for the result of the recruitment drive today shouted slogans against the J&K government and the BJP. “When selection was made public, we raised objections as some backdoor selection of candidates were made. BJP leadership assured us that a number of vacancies will be raised, but it was a false assurance”, they agitating youths said and added that though the merit was very high as the candidates secured 80-82 marks.
They said that the names of some candidates who did not appear in the medical test were figured in the final selections, which show the money has played a major role to spoil the career of deserving candidates who could not bribe for the job.
“We want that all the candidates who have cleared their medical tests should be appointed. The recruitment began in 2018 and completed in 2021, during this period hundreds of youths are overage now. So, the government without any further delay accommodates all those to qualify for the medical test”, they said.
