Entire Chenab Valley, Pir Panjal in dark due to govt apathy: AAP | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Feb 3: The Jammu based Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in a press statement issued here, have sarcastically criticized the present dispensation that Chenab valley and Pir Panjal have faced the brunt of successive state governments on account of their bias, step motherly treatment and discrimination in every walk of life; be it Health or Education Department or for that matter electricity or water supply system. The release elaborated that at present, three mega Hydro-electric Projects namely Salal, Baghliar and Dul Husti Projects which generate around 3000 Mega Watts of electricity in 24 hours, cost approximately Rs 8 crores per hour, is being diverted to Northern Grid but unfortunately, whole Jammu region in general and entire Chenab valley in particular, is living in dark and dingy situation, thanks to the insensitive and biased attitude of the successive state governments including the present dispensation run by Lt Governor Manoj Sinha. Citing an example, the release said that Delhi government which has not the capacity to generate even a single unit of electricity, has the sincerity and pro-people friendly attitude to supply 200 units of electricity, free of cost, to all its subjects/households round the year, besides providing 20,000 litres of potable water free of cost for 24 hours. The release further quoted that quality education and quality health care system in Delhi has become a beacon light not only for all state governments in the country but also globally and that is why Ivanka Trump during her visit to Delhi in 2019 insisted for a visit to a government school despite severe resistance by BJP led central government. The release cautioned and appealed the people of Jammu Division in general and people of Chenab Valley-Pir Panjal in particular to awake from the deep slumber and do not get misled by the false emotive slogans of ruling dispensation which have proved as mere jumlas for last 6 & half years. |
