JAMMU, Feb 8: Dharmarth Trust employees, who are on protest for the last 70 days and chain hunger strike for the last 43 days, on Monday decided to take out Nagar Kirtan and Prabhat Pheri to make the people aware about the malpractice of the Dharmarth Trust management. Continuing their ongoing chain hunger strike, employees on a large number, including Pujaris, assembled at Ranbireshwar Temple and demanded constitution of Board for all the temples under Dharmarth Trust on the pattern of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board. Those who sat on the chain hunger strike today include Sanjeev Kumar, Vashino, Renu, Tilk Raj, Shotu Ram, Ashwani Kumar, Dev Raj, Sagar Singh, Jeevan Lal and Pritam Sharma. Meanwhile, Raju Pahalwan, General Secretary of J&K Wrestling Association visited the protest venue and extended his full support to striking employees. Advisor of FFMS, Dr Karan Gupta also addressed the striking employees and extended full support of their demands. He alleged that the person having control of Dharmarth Trust misusing the trust office, machinery and funds for their political benefits were the main aims and objectives of the trust ignored by the trustees. Today employees in Kashmir region also organized protest and sat on dharna at Kheer Bhawani Temple Srinagar in support of the demand for shrine board and CBI enquiry. Ex-President Thakur Kernail Chand, ex-General Secretary, Pritam Sharma, Sunit Sharma, Sanjeev Kumar Sharma, Subash, Pt Parshotam, Pt Brijmohan Sharma, Pt Om Parkash, Pt Rampal, Pt Balwant Shastri, Vimal Khajuria, Sat Paul, Kanchan, Rajni, Shobha, Nisha and Sonika were also present in the protest. |
