MVD Ramban holds Fitness Mela, to continue till Feb 19 | | | Early Times Report
RAMBAN, Feb 15: The Motor Vehicles Department Ramban today organized a Fitness Mela in which around 25 vehicles were checked and inspected for road worthiness. Organizing of Fitness workshops is a regular affair in the department in which besides ascertaining the road worthiness of the vehicles, the drivers are also sensitized about periodic checks in the larger interest of the commuters. In a press handout issued by the MVD, ARTO Ramban, Shafqat Majeed stated that the fitness mela shall continue till February 19. He urged the drivers and owners of commercial vehicles to report at Kowbagh for carrying out the fitness tests of their vehicles. “The drivers are also being provided the services like on-spot fee deposition for fitness, real-time issue of fitness certificates as well as on-spot facility for pollution check,” he added. Earlier also, the MVD Ramban had organized a medical check-up workshop for drivers and conductors, in collaboration with the Health Department. On February 19, the workshop at Ramban shall be web-linked with the main event being organized at Jammu. |
