NC wants Dr Abdullah to lead party!
Baap Re Baap!

Early Times Report

Jammu, Feb 15: In a major development that may prove a shocker for former Chief Minister and National Conference, President, Omar Abdullah, the NC leaders want his predecessor and father, Dr Farooq Abdullah to take “command of the party affairs.”
Sources said resentment is brewing in the NC over the allegedly irresponsible behavior of the party President, who is accused of affecting the morale of the party cadres.
Sources said the senior party leaders are not happy with the leadership of Omar Abdullah and hold him responsible for the “debacle of the party since the day he became the Chief Minister and the NC subsequently lost.”
Sources said what has suddenly upped ante against Omar Abdullah is his statement to the media that he was not sure of continuing in politics after the abrogation of the special status.
Sources said the statement as made by Omar has not gone down well in the party circles while the NC president has even failed to issue a clarification about the same.
He is also accused of having made “irresponsible tweets” which dented the image of the party in public circles.
The party leaders believe that Omar has become non-serious towards the political affairs.
“He has not been addressing any rallies nor visits the NC strongholds to keep touch with the cadres,” said a senior politician.
Sources said the NC patron has already received complaints regarding the “misadventures of his son.”
It was reliably learnt that the NC leaders want the “first family” to come clear about the future of the “grand old party.”
Sources said the larger consensus in the party is that Dr Abdullah should personally lead the party and make a formal announcement in this regard.
Despite repeated attempts, Omar Abdullah or his party leaders were not available for comments.
