| GLTF holds meeting, raises several demands | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 1: A meeting of General Line Teachers Forum (GLTF) was held today at his central office in Jammu.
All the district President of the forum were present in the meeting and strongly condemned the draconian and dictatorial functioning of School Education Department Jammu and putting all the teaching community in mental trauma on the direction of top authorities. Non-addressing the genuine issue/ demand of transfer of Teachers of Ramban, Doda and Poonch has badly shaken the trust and faith of teaching community.
The meeting said that it is crystal clear that the Department of School Education has been totally hijacked by few influential teachers and persons who have direct link with higher authorities and political parties and the Department is working on the behest of these persons. It seems that Top authority has left no stone unturned to harass and exploit the teachers on the name of transfer. The irony is that many times the order for detachment of teaching staff from various offices was issued but all the orders were seen thrown into the wind. Lastly GLTF with full trust and strong hope urged upon the Lt Governor to intervene personally into this serious issue and pass direction to concerned authorities to transfer genuine teachers for the larger interest of justice. |
