Two Rohingyas with Aadhaar card, PAN card arrested | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 1: The Trikuta Police on Monday raided several parts of the city and arrested two Myanmar nationals (Rohingya) living in Jammu for making their Aadhaar card, PAN card and passport, despite not being citizens of India. Official sources, on basis of information that Rohingya living in Jammu have made documents, Aadhaar card, PAN card and passport, which only Indian citizens can avail, Police conducted searches at many places in Jammu city on Monday and arrested two persons, with having above mentioned documents. “Police are tracing the call details of arrested persons to nab more Myanmar nationals in similar cases. Information about the other people involved in the network for making documents of these people illegally entered India”, a Police officer said, adding that the investigation of the case is going on. “In this case, Police have arrested two people so far, from whom fake government identity cards have been recovered. Since these people entered the country illegally, they cannot produce identity cards issued by the Government of India to its citizens”, the officer said. It is very sensitive so further information cannot be shared, till Police achieve something big in the case, the officer said.
