JAMMU, Mar 8: The two day-long J&K UT Bench Press Championship unequipped and equipped Sub Junior, Junior, Senior & Master (Men & Women) concluded here today at Guru Ravi Dass Sabha, near Bahu Fort Police Station. The championship was organized by All J&K UT Power Lifting Association under the banner of Power lifting India and was held under the observer of J&K Sports Council.
Councillor Bahu Fort Sham Bassan was the chief guest on the occasion while Latish Sharma, JKPCC President, Raj Kumar and Rohit Sharma were the special guests, who distributed prizes among the winner and runner up players.
In this Championship Vikramdeep, Sawan and Amita Devi won best lifter in Senior unequipped & equipped while Sakhi Koul, Surjeet Singh and Udayvir Singh won best lifter Junior unequipped & equipped. Vikramdeep create new J&K UT record breaking previous record of 105 kg category by lifting 230 kg. Atul Singh and Shabam Alam won best lifter in Sub Junior unequipped & equipped while Ajay Sharma and Rajesh Gupta won best lifter in Master I & II Category.
In this championship 130 players participated from different district of J&K UT viz Jammu,
Kathua, Samba, Poonch, Reasi, Kishtwar and Doda. |
