PHDCCI Jammu organizes Virtual Webinar to celebrate Int’l Women’s Day

JAMMU, Mar 9: PHDCCI Jammu organized a Virtual Webinar to celebrate International Women’s Day. The objective of the webinar was to share and understand the achievements, issues and challenges of women champions from administration, police and successful women entrepreneurs.
The webinar was attended by luminaries from administration, entrepreneurs, start-ups and students across Jammu.
Naveen Seth, Assistant Secretary General, in his opening remarks shared the detailed history of Women's Day and he also congratulated Rahul Sahai, Chairman PHDCCI Jammu Chapter and his team for organizing this very important webinar and also inviting women luminaries. He also highlighted the importance and significance of women in every person’s life, adding that women deserve all the attention and support that the world gives them on this day.
Rahul Sahai, Chairman PHDCCI Jammu welcomed all the panelists and congratulated them on International Women's Day and said that this day is dedicated to honoring the women throughout history and in present times who sought to bring parity between the two genders and were torch bearers for Women's rights.
Babila Rakwal, Vice Chairperson, Jammu Development Authority, in her address shared that Women’s day is a day to introspect the long journey she has taken up and come to a level where people recognize and consider that she has made an achievement.
Sargun Shukla, SSP Udhampur Jammu in her address said that a single day brainstorm or webinar or an event will not be enough to discuss the women as in police we are facing these things every day where we are dealing with women specific issues. We need to accept that women are integral part of our society.
All social moments all social issues are incomplete without women.
Sunaina Mehta, Deputy Commissioner, State Taxes Enforcement, Jammu, in her address said that she is thankful to Rahul Sahai Chairman PHDCCI for organizing this webinar and she shared her story of successful life from a border village of Jammu where she had spent her childhood in conflict of Ccross boarder firings.
Subah Mehta, General Manager DIC Jammu in her address said that she is honored and privileged on being part of this Virtual Webinar on International Women’s Day and thanked Rahul Sahai Chairman PHDCCI for inviting her. This day is to empower women and that doesn’t mean we should superpower men.
PD Nity, SP City North, Jammu in her speech said that shewould like to wish all panelists happy women’s day. She mentioned that when you will see from the administrative point of view the discrimination perception of educated women and illiterate is altogether different.
What we have to appreciate is intersectional problem of society in which vulnerable becomes more vulnerable when he come with different set of background.
The formal vote of thanks was given by Kuldeep Gupta, Co-Chairman PHDCCI Jammu who thanked everyone and Chairman for this wonderful Webinar especially the women panelists who shared their experiences on International Women’s Day.
