| Vishwa Bharati celebrates Shivratri | | |

Jammu, Mar 9: Vishwa Bharati Senior Secondary school, Akalpur Morh, Jammu celebrated Maha Shivratri with great religious fervor and devout feelings for the Almighty Lord, God Shiva. The programme was organized in the school auditorium where the management committee members J.L.Koul, President Vishwa Bharati Women’s Welfare institution, Dr.S.K.Koul Secretary Vishwa Bharati J& K Units, Yoginder Koul member Vishwa Bharati and School Principal Annapurna Koul along with teachers and students ( class 10th only) were present. The whole programme was conducted with the strict following of SOP’s issued by the Government of India. Shakti Raina and Rashim Bali delivered a spiritually mesmerizing speech on the pious occasion of Shivratri celebrated as marriage of Lord Shiva and Mata Parvati. They also threw light on the importance and greatness of the festival in Hinduism as well as in Kashmiri prospective. A PowerPoint presentation prepared by the students on the theme of “Shivratri” comprising various items was also shown to the audience. Some students also delivered speeches on Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati through PowerPoint presentation. The whole programme concluded with a vote of thanks by school Principal, Annapurna Koul who expressed her gratitude to all those present on the occasion. She also greeted each one of them on the eve of MahaShivratri. |
