JAMMU, Mar 15: Jammu Police in Bishnah have busted a vehicle lifters’ gang and has recovered many stolen bikes and other material worth 10 lakh rupees.
SHO Bishnah Insp Anil Chowdhary under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Shabir Khan arrested 6 persons including Himanshu nanda @ janu s/o Tilak Raj , Ajay Kumar @ Aju s/o Vijay Kumar ,Akash Thapa @ Kaka S/O Ratan Lal , Vivek Sharma @ Gopi s/o Kedar Nath , Anosh @ Kalu S/O James Maasi and Sandeep Singh S/O Karan Singh. When put to sustained questioning the accused disclosed the theft items and on their disclosure 12 stolen motorcycles, gold items, electric transformer, iron grills etc were recovered.
It is also pertinent to mention that a snatching case happened at Bishnah few months back and police was also able to arrest the accused with stolen gold chain.
Police also solved a burglary case and recovered gold and various other items with cash amount rupees 25000. Subsequently case FIR nos 163/2020, 41/2021,45/2021 and FIR no 48/2021 of Police station Bishnah were solved.
The whole operation was conducted under the supervision of SP Hqrs Jammu Adil Hamid and under the overall supervision of SSP Jammu Shridhar Patil. |
