Kishtwar, Mar 15: Apni Party today staged a protest demonstration demanding opening of Magar-Top road connecting Marwah-Warwan with rest of Jammu and Kashmir. In a statement issued here, the protest was led by Malik Mohammed Umar and Mohammed Aslam Malik in support of their demands at Kishtwar district headquarters. Malik Mohammed Umar demanded opening of Margan Top pass which connects the region with rest of Jammu and Kashmir. While holding protest, he demanded opening of all the respective Govt offices in Marwah and Warwan, deployment of doctors and paramedical staff in the Primary Health Centre Marwah and Warwan. Malik said that the doctors are not available in the PHC and it has led to the suffering of the people of these far-flung areas. He also highlighted issues of non-availability of teaching staff at Marwah and Warwan schools. The protesters later handed over a memorandum of demands to the Deputy Commissioner, Kishtwar with to their demands. Prominent among those who were the part of protest included Abdul Gani Shah, Abdul Latief Chobdar, Nazir Sheikh, Amir Naqueeb, Aslam Sheikh, Mohammed Yousuf, Mohammed Abdullah, Ikhlaq Hussain, Mohammed Isaq, Vikar Hussain and others. |
