UDHAMPUR, Mar 16: District Congress Committee Udhampur along with Block Congress Committee Ghordi Barmeen held a strong protest against the price hike of petrol, diesel and LPG besides proposal to impose property tax.
The protest also highlighted toll taxes, unemployment, regularization of daily wagers, need basis, contractual employees of JKUT and also regarding statehood which should be given back to J&K. This protest was held under the leadership of District President and ex-Member Legislative Assembly Chenani Ghordi Constituency Krishan Chander Bhagat in which all DCC committee members along with BCC (Committee) members were present. Addressing the protesters DCC president said that all these demands should be solved or taken into consideration by the BJP Government as early as possible so that all the people of the J&K get some relief.
