Anjole Panchayat of Kishtwar has no dispensary; people suffer | | | Asif Iqbal Naik Early Times Report
Kishtwar, Mar 16: The inhabitants of Panchayat Anjole having population of more than 5,000 souls have rued that the village even lacks a dispensary, thereby leaving the old age patients and other people living in the area to lurch resulted into countless sufferings to be people on account of health care. The inhabitants told Early Times that in absence of health care facility the villagers are being forced to travel to Kishtwar district hospital or private clinics which are around one and half hour bumpy drive. The locals further said that several times they had requested in writing to many officials at district level as well as to Advisors to the lieutenant governor, but no action has been taken till date. Sarpanch Anjole Disha Devi said that she and locals of the area have complained to the district administration many a times about the opening of dispensary— but the authorities have failed to come up to the expectations of people leaving them to suffer. She further said that former Chief Minister J&K Mehbooba Mufti also received a delegation from Anjole Panchayat for sanctioning of dispensary or sub-center by the concerned department but all in vain. She said that the people of Anjole, Murna, Zarari Seergwari, Chitran and Gwari have to go to Kishtwar for minor treatment which is a total injustice to the people of the villages. The people of Anjole village have now urged upon Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Ashok Sharma and Lieutenant Governor Jammu & Kashmir to open a dispensary in Anjole as soon as possible so that the people of the area get a sigh of relief.
