Jammu, Mar 16: Alert troops of Border Security Force on Tuesday evening shot dead one intruder in Samba sector of Jammu region.
BSF sources here said that on seeing a middle aged man trying to infiltrate into the Indian Territory, the troops sounded alert following which they shot at this killing him on the spot.
“The body has been retrieved and during frisking nothing incriminating was found from his possession except Rs 200 (Pak currency),” they added.
Sources said that the body has been handed over to the police for further legalities and will soon be handed over to Pakistan Rangers at a flag meeting likely to be held on Wednesday. |
