RAJOURI, Apr 21: To take stock of the public grievances at their doorsteps, the District Development Commissioner (DDC) Rajouri, Rajesh K Shavan today paid a visit to blocks Panjgrain and Manjakote as a part of Block Diwas. During his tour, the DDC interacted with the public and their representatives who raised several issues and demands related to the inadequate water supply, macadamization and renovation of roads, up-gradation of educational and health institutions besides other related issues were also projected on the occasions. At Manjakote, the BDC chairperson Shamshad Begum, Sarpanchs and other citizens raised several issues including GDC for Manjakote, better internal road connectivity, receiving stations, transformers and poles for Naili, Hyatpura, pending payment of bunkers, repair of Bimber Gali to Kakora road, repair of panchayat Ghars, up-gradation of GPS kotli to Middle school kotli. Most of the issues were resolved on the spot, the DDC directed the Executive Engineers Jal Shakti and JPDCL to make the camp office functional within seven days. The officers were asked to carry out the minor repair works of the road. DDC directed the Block Medical Officer Manjakote to ensure that all the persons in the block are enrolled under Aadhaar besides he also asked him to get all the eligible beneficiaries registered under the SEHAT scheme. He also sought the active cooperation of the general public in the fight against the CoronaVirus pandemic and urged upon them to follow all the COVID-19 SOPs to keep themselves and others safe from the infection. He also paid visits to the Primary Health Centre Manjakote and took a review of the Health care services being provided to the patients. The DDC was accompanied by Additional Superintendent of Police, Liaqat Choudhary, Assistant Commissioner Development, Sushil Khajuria and other district and sectoral officers. |
