5/8/2021 11:27:17 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT

JAMMU, May 8: Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) while expressing great concern over the sharp surge in COVID-19 cases and deaths in J&K, Delhi and other places demanded more regress steps to be taken by the center, state and UT govts to tackle the situation and special focus to be given to protect the poor people from the pandemic.
While inviting attention towards the plight of displaced community of Kashmiri Pandits, KPC president Kundan Kashmiri and Tej Pandita said there are huge sections of KP families who are totally resource-less, need urgent help and assistance at this crucial time especially jobless youths who have neither land to cultivate, no orchard, shop or business to run so it has become very difficult for them to sustain their life.
Hence demanded special focus and financial assistance to covid affected poor and resource-less displaced KP families and others.
KPC leaders also castigated over the double standard Kashmiri leaders which include Dr Farooq Abdullah, Mehbooba Mufti, and others for demanding cancellation of recent termination orders of three govt employees of Kashmir valley who were indulging in pro-terror and anti-national activities and also demanded the release of all the political prisoners and detainees under the plea of ongoing pandemic. Kundan Kashmiri, President KPC questioned these Kashmir centric leaders over their irrelevant and illogical demands and termed the action of LG government and his administration appropriate in order to wipe out such virus from the system. KPC Chief demanded that LG govt should take serious note of it and action against those who oppose this tough stand of Government against the terror friendly employees and a deep probe be made to find out such more elements who have managed to enter into the system.
Other KPC leaders who also expressed their views include MK Raina, Dr HL Saraf, Susheel Ji Bhat, RL Raina and others.
