DDC Rajouri discusses annual action plan for District Capex Budget 2021-22

Rajouri, May 8: To discuss the annual action plan under the District Capex Budget 2021-22, the District Development Council Rajouri under the chairmanship of the District Development Council Chairperson, Naseem Liyaqat Chowdhury today convened a meeting with the DDC members, BDC Chairpersons and officers.
At the outset, the CEO DDC gave a detailed overview in consonance to the guidelines issued by the finance department with regard to the preparation of the Capex Budget for the current financial year 2021-22 in the District.
DDC members and the BDC Chairpersons also gave their valuable suggestions and feedback with regard to the developmental concerns of their areas.
While speaking during the meeting, the DDC Chairman exhorted upon the elected representatives to prioritize works as per the popular local demands of the people while formulating plans for their respective areas.He reiterated that timely formulation of development plans will help a lot to take up the works in time and utilization of budgetary provision.
DDC Chairman also asked officers to explore all avenues for capital expenditure besides incorporating workable and efficient inputs and data for a rational and proper formulation of the proposed budget 2021-22.
DDC Chairman asked the concerned officer from the Rural Development Department to conduct a survey regarding the identification of the left out beneficiaries under PMAY and furnish the report in this regard to the DDC members and BDC Chairpersons.
DDC Chairman also urged the DDC Members and BDC Chairpersons to play a proactive and constructive role at the ground level for the larger benefit of the society and said that they are important stakeholders in the development setup who are mandated to ensure socio-economic development at the grass root level.
Meanwhile the DDC Chairman also reviewed the measures being taken to counter the CoronaVirus infection in the district and lauded the Health Department for their efforts in containing the spread of coronavirus in the district.He directed the officers and elected representatives to put in place extra efforts to mitigate the pandemic in the district.
DDC Chairman also appealed to the public to adhere to the standard operating procedures (SOPs) issued by the Government for appropriate COVID-19 pandemic behaviour to break the highly infectious chain.
