| Panchayat Kasba sans facilities at COVID care centre | | |

Poonch, May 31: The objective of the government of creating five bedded COVID care centres at Panchayat level seems to be defeated in most of the panchayats as no facilities of any sort have been placed in many panchayats putting people in huge hardship.
A video has gone viral in social media, wherein local residents of Panchayat Kasba have been exposing poor facilities put in place in the panchayat ghar. There were only two beds placed and there was no bedding on them. “No medicines, oxy-meters, sanitizers, masks were placed there in the room, which clearly shows that the directions of the government are not being adhered to with letter and spirit,” said a resident, who was capturing video.
“We have come to know that the government has been providing all facilities and financial assistance to the concerned panchayats to create five bedded COVID care centres. Today a patient came into this quarantine centre but there was no facility of any kind,” they informed.
Not only this, even the other health centers in the district Poonch have no proper facilities for COVID patients. The residents appealed to Deputy Commissioner Poonch to take note of the matter. |
