| Two notorious drug peddlers arrested | | |

Kishtwar, May 31: Continuing its efforts to eradicate drug menace from the society, Kishtwar Police have arrested two more drug paddlers in the jurisdiction of Police Post Padyarna and recovered Cannabis like substance from their possession. While divulging details SSP Kishtwar, Shafqat Hussain Batt said that the Police Post Padyarna had develop a specific information of sale and purchase of drug.
Acting on this information a special naka was established at Padyarna led by SI Qasim Din alongwith his team stopped one Mahindra Scorpio bearing registered No. JK02CH-7821 and apprehended two persons namely Imran Ahmed s/o Gh.Nabi Dhobi r/o Lower Malipath and Imtiyaz Ahmed Want s/o Ghulam Rasool Want r/o Shaheedi Mohalla Kishtwar.
On search, 40 gms of charas was recovered from their possession On this, case FIR No. 120/2021 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act got registered at P/S Kishtwar and investigation taken up.
SSP Kishtwar repeatedly requesting the general Public to come forward with any information regarding drug paddlers in their neighbourhood. Persons found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt with iron hands. |
