Jammu, June 2: Reasi Police on Wednesday arrested an absconder accused of kidnapping and raping a minor in 2019.
Accused Shabir Ahmed who was absconding in Case FIR no 41/2019 Dated 29/07/2019 U/S 363, 376-D, 343, 452, RPC, 4- POSCO Act Police Station Chassana, after Commission of crime in 2019.
Accused evaded investigation by going underground & couldn’t be apprehended since the registration of FIR in 2019 as he was changing his hideouts in south Kashmir mostly in militancy infested areas. Few days back escaped from police raids in Shopian district of Kashmir valley.
A warrent under section 512 CrPC was issued by Hon'ble court of Principal District and Sessions Judge Reasi against the accused on 11/12/2019.
By meticulously planning & Coordinated efforts in repeated raids, Reasi Police chased the accused till his arrest.
Police has already arrested accused Mohd Tahir who was also absconding in the said case FIR on 5th of May, whereas accused Nazir Ahmed, Bashir Ahmed, Ghulam Qadir, all sons of Abdul Samad,and Abdul Qayoom were already arrested and are behind the bars since their arrest.
This is arrest of Twelfth absconder by Reasi Police under the command of SSP Reasi Shailender Singh within a period of six weeks’ time against whom warrants U/S 512 CrPC are pending. |
