PM Modi gives priority to health, well being of students: Kavinder | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 2: Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder on Wednesday welcomed Centre’s move to cancel CBSE class 12 Board examinations for academic session 2020-21. The decision was taken in a crucial meeting chaired by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The senior BJP leader said that PM Modi has given priority to the health and well being of the students which is the most important aspect because the number of students enrolled for the CBSE exams were over 14 lakh and if the exams were allowed there was a great risk of infection spiraling from the exam centres. “This decision is without any iota of doubt farsighted because crores of people have been saved through this one move which otherwise would have resulted into people (parents) assembling near schools and students inside the examination halls thus giving a conducive atmosphere to coronavirus for breeding and attacking the people with poor immunity. This decision is best described by the adage, ‘a stitch in time saves nine’ as by taking this decision the PM Modi has saved lives of many”, he said, adding that a robust mechanism is required to be evolved to give justice to the students while compiling their results as 12th class is crucial for carving out the career of the students. Kavinder also expressed concern over the report of scams in SKIMS hospital, Srinagar. He said that those people who are committing wrong during the corona times are emotionless and they have no affection towards humans and humanity. He made it clear that under BJP rule there is no scope for corruption and those who are still daring to break the law by taking illegal gratifications must get ready to face the law as PM Modi has given standing instructions to investigating agencies to root out this menace from the soil of the country. |
