Jammu, June 2: NCC Unit of Govt Degree College Bhaderwah Observed World No Tobacco Day on the theme “Say No to Tobacco” in which NCC cadets from different Institutions of 2nd JK Independent coy NCC Bhaderwah took active part under the patronage of Dr. Kuldeep Kumar Sharma, Principal GDC Bhaderwah who in his address said that every year, World No Tobacco Day is observed in order to spread awareness of the dangers related to using tobacco.
People around the world want to get rid of this tobacco pandemic and claim their right to health and healthy living in order to protect their future generations. Speaking on the occasion Lt. Prithvi Raj ANO GDC Bhaderwah and Assistant Professor Commerce emphasized over the harmful effects of tobacco and advised cadets to not consume or smoke tobacco as tobacco kills more people than any other addiction and it’s time we educate people young and old people alike, to stay away from tobacco.
The cadets who spoke on the occasion were JUO Happy Charak, cadet Salooni, cadet Tahir, cadet Ronika and cadet Tanika from Govt Girls Hr. Sec School Bhaderwah. The webinar was moderated by SUO Siqa Naseer.
The formal Vote of thanks was given by JUO Happy Charak. At last all cadets took a pledge to “say no to tobacco” with address what we need to burn on a daily basis are calories and not tobacco. Stay healthy and happy with no tobacco.
