Jammu, June 2: Govt. Degree College, Chenani under the auspices of its NSS unit, Prayatna and its placement cell conducted an Online Mock Pre-Employment Test, the results of which were declared today.
The purpose of the program was to enable the students to envision the building blocks for a successful career. A set of questions was prepared and circulated through a Google form link. The analysis of responses provided by students was done and it was found that 70% students preferred government sector jobs while the rest looked for the corporate world. It was noticed that the students of the College possess great skills like social intelligence, basics of IT & certain hard skills.
Pragya Khanna, Principal of the College opined that the pre-employment mock test shall help to understand the job choices of the students and the skills they possess like cognitive abilities, knowledge, work skills, physical and motor abilities, personality, emotional intelligence, language proficiency, and even integrity and would allow the institution to hone their abilities further.
