Doctor absent, attending her pvt clinic, alleges pregnant woman; video goes viral | | | Early Times Report
Kishtwar, June 3: A pregnant woman in Bhaderwah on Thursday accused gynaecologist posted at Sub District Hospital Bhaderwah of remaining absent from duty to attend her private clinic. In a video that went viral on social media the pregnant lady is heard saying that she had sought an appointment for the medical check up with the doctor, but unfortunately after waiting for several hours, the lady doctor posted in the hospital didn’t turn up and instead told her that she is on leave. “I am in 9th month of pregnancy,” she is heard saying. The pregnant woman claimed that she checked with the Block Medical Officer (BMO) and the hospital management, she was told that they had not received any leave from the lady doctor in question. “If anything happens to my child entire responsibility will lie on the erring doctor,” she is heard saying. “In COVID all the leaves has been cancelled and how come the lady doctor was allowed to sit at home for the sake of her private practice. Higher ups should look into the matter,” she says. The attendant accompanying the lady said, “Bhaderwah Sub District Hospital has become a referral hospital and it is not advise able to bring the patients here. We have been asked to meet some other doctor at the hospital why we should we meet a physician when we need a gynaecologist.” |
