Early Times Report

Kishtwar, June 3: Sheikh Zafarullah, a District Development Council member from Marwah today demanded merging of Marwah sub Division in Kishtwar District with China during his meeting with Divisional Commissioner Jammu Raghav Langer forcing the BJP to demand registration of an FIR against the DDC member for his anti national approach.
As per the details available with Early Times, DDC member who was part of the deputation that met Divisional Commissioner Jammu at DC office complex Kishtwar while raising the issue of remote Sub Division Marwah showed anger towards the incumbent LG led government and crossed the limit by vouching for merger of Marwah with China.
As soon as the DDC member made the demand, Divisional Commissioner Jammu snubbed him for his anti national demand and refused to listen the DDC member after he (DDC member) cross the limit. DDC member was also had ugly spat with DDC chairperson after DDC Chairperson Kishtwar questioned his behaviour over the demand of opening of prestigious Sinthan road. “We want to walk out over the issue of continuous closure of Sinthan road- but our so-called DDC member Marwah prefers to continue to speak unrealistic and didn’t stick to his words to which he agreed earlier” said Pooja Thakur, DDC Chairperson Kishtwar. She said that it was unanimously decided to walk out from the meeting in case Divisional Commissioner Jammu fail to give solid assurance on opening of Sinthan road, but unfortunately like what known for backtracking— DDC member Marwah did reverse to what was agreed earlier. When confronted, DDC member Marwah refuse to give any straight forward answer to repeated questions asked by the Early Times and instead tried to put blame left and right. Meanwhile BJP deputation lead by District President Pardeep Singh Parihar showed strong resentment before Divisional Commissioner Jammu over the anti national demand of DDC member Marwah.
Speaking to Early Times, BJP leaders said that they demanded immediate registration of an FIR against DDC member Marwah without any delay and also called on the government to check the antedates viz his family and other backgrounds.
Divisional Commissioner Jammu in response to Early Times question during a press conference assured that appropriate and necessary action will be initiated against the DDC member Marwah for his anti-national demand. However till the framing of this news report, no FIR has been registered against the erring DDC member.
