Jammu, June 3: The faculty and students of Govt Polytechnic Colleges of J&K participated in one day National Webinar on “Future of AI & Machine Learning” today. The webinar was organized by Department of Computer & IT engineering Govt Polytechnic College Jammu in collaboration with NIELIT New Delhi.
The Resource Person Swapnali Joshi Naik, Scientist D from NIELIT Delhi, enlighten the participants, how AI & Machine learning will help people in performing their tasks better, not to take their jobs.
AI will also significantly reduce the probability of human error and study historical data to cut costs. Artificial Intelligence enhances the speed, precision and effectiveness of human efforts.
In financial institutions, AI techniques can be used to identify which transactions are likely to be fraudulent, adopt fast and accurate credit scoring, as well as automate manually intense data management tasks.
Swapnali Joshi Naik mentioned during the presentation that the Man has long feared the rise of the machine – his own creation becoming smarter and more intelligent than the humans.
But while artificial intelligence and machine learning are rapidly changing our world and empowering the Fourth Industrial Revolution, humanity does not need to be afraid. The Expert also focused that how machine Learning has changed the world by creating the Jobs, Automation of systems, Transforming Government, Delivering Health Care, Creating Art.
The experts practically aimed and focused on Analytic Domain and Engineering Domain of Machine learning by focusing on Micro Projects and all these Projects should be helpful and quite useful for the students and faculty for making their career fruitful.
Ritu Jamwal principal, Govt. Polytechnic College Jammu, greeted the speaker by his welcome note. He emphasized the importance of such online webinars as very crucial for all round development of students and making them aware of new technologies apart from standard course curriculum and called these as a great platform for exchange of ideas especially when country is under Pandemic due to COVID-19.
In the end Er Shoket Ali, faculty computer engineering department presented vote of thanks and mentioned these type of online workshops are very much useful to students and faculty in order to upgrade their skills upto the mark of market demand for getting jobs. Faulty members, Jon Mohd & Irfan Rasool have conducted the proceedings of the national seminar.
