Sinthan road thrown open for medical emergencies | | | Asif Iqbal Naik Early Times Report
Kishtwar, June 5: Much to the respite to the people of Kishtwar District, in its first leg—the District administration today threw open prestigious Sinthan road connecting Kishtwar District with Srinagar via Anantnag for medical emergencies. As per the details available with Early Times, DC Kishtwar after taking formal approval from the Divisional Administration order to throw the road open for Medical emergencies only while the road will be thrown open for the normal movement of the people once the COVID situation improves beside the bottlenecks on road stretch from Alloo farm to Sinthan will be improved by the NHIDCL. The order issued by the DC Kishtwar stated that Additional Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar will be the nodal officer for issuing the permission following the clearance from the senior health official whose report in the matter will be a necessary step forward. The administration has also order for establishment of Nakka in and around Sinthan top for COVID testing to ensure that no infected person gets entered inside the District. Meanwhile the people urged upon the government to make the road open permanently for the general public. It is pertinent to mention that several political and social activists pushed hard for opening of the Sinthan road. |
