ADGP Jammu’s interference helps victim to get his money back from fraudster | | | Rajesh Tandon Early Times Report
Jammu, June 5: The interference of IGP Jammu Mukesh Singh and SSP Jammu in duping case helped the victim to get his lost money back from the fraudster within four days of the complaint. After publication of news item by Early Times in the duping case, where a fraudster claiming himself an employee in Civil Secretariat had duped Rs 80,000 from a gullible person in pretext of providing a job of SPO the authorities woke up and took action. Talking to Early Times, the victim expressed his thanks to ADGP Mukesh Singh, SSP Jammu and reporter of Early Times who consistently followed the matter and helped the victim to get his hard earned money back. On the directions of his superiors, the SSP Jammu tracked out the fraudster, who turned out to be the resident of Sopore district of Kashmir region and made him return the amount back in the bank account of the victim. The complainant had lodged a case around four days ago with the police station Domana. After taking up the matter by the Early Times, the police took swift action on the direction of IGP Jammu and SSP Jammu and solved the case within a few days. Meanwhile, ADGP Jammu Mukesh appealed to the public not to fall victim into the trap of such a fraudster, who claims to get a job in the police department. Pertinently, a person claimed to be a Government employee posted in the Civil Secretariat took Rs 80,000 from a poor person with assurance that he would provide a SPO job to him. The poor gullible made payment of Rs 50,000 in a JK bank account No. 0021040100046002 in the name of one GM Khan on 10-07-2020 and later the alleged Government employee demanded more money and managed to extract Rs 30,000 more from him. The fraud employee gave a letter to the victim in order to maintain faith in the heart of victim which was addressed to the Inspector General of Police Jammu dated 15-07-2020 and shown issued from the personal section of Advisor (F) to LG Srinagar, with subject ‘Engagement as SPO in Police Department. |
