JAMMU, June 5: On the occasion of World Environment Day, BJP Sanskritik Cell held a plantation drive in Narwal area of Jammu city. Led by Co-convenor BJP Sanskritik Cell Sumit Sharma, a large number of people planted trees in Narwal park. While talking with media, Sumit emphasized the importance of tree plantation for the community, adding that this initiative will go a long way in inculcating awareness among the public about environment conservation. Sumit said these trees are an investment for the future generations that shall provide natural shade in open spaces and provide cleaner air to breathe by increasing green cover. He said health of the environment is as important as the health of the individual. Sumit Sharma was accompanied by state executive member Sanskritik Cell Rajkumar, social workers Sanjeev Singh, Shivali Sharma, Sunil Singh, Ranjana, Rattan Singh, Neetu, Ankit Sharma and others. |
