| Rich tributes paid to Prof Chaman Lal Gupta | | |

JAMMU, June 5: Former MP, Ex-MLA and BJP leader Prof Chaman Lal Gupta was remembered for his achievements for Jammu and Kashmir. In a simple ceremony in which many non political leaders and BJP leaders including the son of late Professor Gupta and BJP leader Anil Gupta, President of Jammu Chamber, Arun Gupta, Bharat Bhushan, former MLA and currently DDC president, former MLA Garu Ram and others took part rich tributes were paid to late BJP leader.
Pawan Gupta said that Professor Gupta was a strong pillar of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, Jan Sangh and Bharatiya Janata Party, who followed the Sangh and BJP ideology. He said that Prof Gupta fought against repressive policies of the National Conference and Congress governments inside the state of Jammu and Kashmir adding that the late leader was a part of the movement protesting against arrest of Shyama Prasad Mukherjee.
At the end of the program, tributes were paid to the martyrdom of BJP councilor Rakesh Pandita in Kashmir and those who died during the Corona period. |
