Poonch: Jhulas village without Covid Care Centre, says social activist | Setting up 5-beds not enough, patients need basic facilities | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 7: Social activist Aman Dabour on Monday said that the administration has not set up 5-bedded Covid Care Centers (CCCs) in frontier villages of Poonch district. Dabour while talking to Early Times said that CCC has not been set up at Jhulas—last corner of India—in Poonch district. “The Deputy Commissioner Poonch should send a team to this village to ascertain why the CCC has not been set up there.” He said, “Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha had taken a people-friendly decision by announcing that 5-bedded CCCs will be set up in every Panchayat in rural areas. The amount of Rs 1 lakh was also sanctioned for each Panchayat to set up these facilities but the centers that have been set up in different areas are without the facilities that are mandatory for the Covid positive patients. The administration should ensure that adequate facilities are put in place to treat the patients.” |
