| GGZSMD College Reasi celebrates World Food Safety Day | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
REASI, June 7: World Food Safety Day (WFSD) is celebrated every year on 7 June to draw attention towards prevention and detection of food borne risks. This year’s theme was ‘Safe food today for a healthy tomorrow’. It stresses upon the fact safe food has immediate and long-term benefits for people, the planet and the economy. Thus, safe food is of utmost importance to the future of the mankind.
A poster making competition for celebrating “Food Safety Day” was organized in Govt. General Zorawar Singh Memorial Degree (GGZSMD) College Reasi under the patronage of the Principal of the college, Dr Chander Shekhar Gupta. The event was a part of series of events that are being organized in connection with “Azaadi ka Amrit Mahotsav”. First position was bagged by Priya Lakhnotra of B.Sc Sem IV, second by Heena Devi of B.Sc Sem 1 and third by Diksha Thakur of B.Sc Sem IV. Merit certificates shall be issued to participants at three merit positions.
The event was organized by Prof Kewal Krishan, Coordinator, Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Dr Anu Sharma, Convenor, Drug de-addiction and Rehabilitation Cell and Prof Sunil Magotra, NCC officer. |
