Sarpanch Pyt Gurha Jagir inaugurates development works under B2V | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, June 11: The ‘Back to Village’ programme which was aimed to involve the people of the UT and government officials in a joint effort to deliver the mission of equitable development. The programme was aimed at energizing Panchayats and directing development efforts in rural areas through community participation. Two development projects under Back to Village were made mandatory by the government pursuing which today the renovation of the main pond in Panchayat Gurha Jagir was inaugurated by Sarpanch Verinder Kumar. Verinder Kumar today inaugurated the renovation of the main pond at Gurha Jagir whose estimated cost is 9.33 Lakh. The work is one among the development projects under Back to Village-2. While addressing the gathering Sarpanch Verinder Kumar said that elected panchayat members are trying their best to provide equilateral development all over panchayat. He said that he will not leave any stone unturned for the development of the panchayat. He appealed LG Administration to give such programmes to PRIs so that they can develop panchayats. He further appeals LG administration to work seriously to improve water and electricity infrastructure in rural areas which is the need of the hour. People of Gurha Jagir Panchayat appreciated various development works by the elected Sarpanch.
