ASKPC demands probe in recent killings of minorities in Kashmir Valley | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, June 11: All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference (ASKPC) demanded CBI probe in the killing of Rakesh Pandita, Municipal Councilor Tral in South Kashmir who was brutally shot dead by unidentified gunmen on June 2. President ASKPC R K Wangnoo said continues killings of nationalist Hindus in Kashmir should be wake up call for the central government and demanded CBI probe in the recent killings of Hindus in valley. Last year Ajay Bharti Panch was killed in Lokbhawan in South Kashmir after that owner of Krishna Dhaba, Akash Mehra was fired upon in Srinagar city, who later succumbed to bullet injures and then Satpaul Nischal, a businessman in Srinagar was fired upon and killed. He said that nothing has changed for Kashmiri Pandits till date during last 32 years. No killer of the KPs has been punished and no anti-national element was booked under law responsible for KPs’ forced exodus from the valley. ASKPC demands that the culprits involved in the killing of Rakesh Pandita should be identified at the earliest and brought to the book. He further said government of India should decide now the long pending issue of one place settlement of displaced Kashmiri Pandit community in Valley without further delay to mitigate the suffering of the displaced community. Wangnoo impressed upon the Union Territory government to ensure fool proof security for all Kashmiri Pandits in the valley in general and political workers in particular and requested the LG to sanction reasonable amount of ex-gratia in favour of the family of Rakesh Pandita and a government job to his son.
