At the outset of the meeting, he offered rich tributes to Dr Subhash Raina, Assistant Registrar who passed away recently due to Covid. He termed it a great setback to the Examination system since Dr Raina was closely working with the Controller of Examinations in the capacity of Confidential Assistant to COE and was playing an important role in the timely conduct of examinations. The Controller of Examinations in his detailed report informed that strategies worked out after several meetings with the Vice Chancellor over the last two months have been effectively executed. He informed that the open book online examinations of Engineering stream 5th and 7th semesters have already been conducted and the evaluation process is going on and the date sheet for BE 8th semester shall be notified shortly for the examinations starting from 17th June. Keeping in view the fact that the physical presence of the students is being avoided in campus under the prevailing situation and at the same time for redressal of their issues, the Vice-Chancellor gave on the spot directions to set up an extension counter at gate 2 of the University, near J & K Bank, so that students can get the required information from a single window. |
