| GDC Akhnoor celebrates World Blood Donor Day | | |

JAMMU, June 14: The Red Ribbon Club of GDC Akhnoor celebrated ‘World Donor Day-2021 on the theme “Give blood and keep the world beating” on the digital platform today under the supervision of Principal Dr Namarta. On the theme one day college level competition on One minute promotional video on the Role of Blood Donor, Poster Making on Blood Donation, Youth Campaign etc etc were organized using digital tools. The aim of celebration of World Blood Donor Day is to spread awareness among the students about the significance of blood donation and to recognise the contribution of voluntary unpaid blood donors in saving lives. Most of the Colleges under University Jammu participated in the event. Kanchan Sharma BSc Sem-III got 1st place, Preeti Sharma of Sem-IV, Bandhana Sharma of Sem-III of GDC Akhnoor secured 2nd and 3rd place. All the participants were given E-certificate. The Principal of the college appreciated the efforts of RRC for successfully conducting the programme and needed more such events during COVID-19. The programme was conducted by the Red Ribbon Club of the college. The faculty members who contributed to this event were Prof Dewarka Nath (Convener RRC), Prof Sukriti Sharma, Prof Yogesh Sharma, Prof Piyush Kant, Prof Surinder Sharma and Prof Surita Sharma. |
